My first true abstract painting


I have been working and experimenting with acrylics on canvas and abstract expression of spirituality in art. Your comments and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  1. This colorful piece reminds me of blooming. The way I envision love and kindness blooming in the world. From the (as I see it) purple blossom petals around the outside, to the rays of sun on the left and moon crescent on the right to the gorgeous globe herself in the middle of the eye, I think this is a deep yet playful piece. And you may have envisioned something else when you painted it, but this is what I see. It feels optimistic to me, just like you! Thanks for sharing it Joe, and I hope you’ll keep at it and share more artwork as you’re ready. Cheers, your friend Gina

  2. Of abstract art, I’m an unfit observer; my brain rebels. I can see hints of the cosmos in there and perhaps, the earth but the primary, immediate reaction was: Have the copyright folks at CBS seen this? Art galleries are not fond of my visits and I can’t blame them for my blind spotss…
