Forget me not… A poem and a painting

Forget me not… A painting and a poem by Joe Bradshaw

Forget me not when I am not there

There is a place we shall forever share

Deep in my heart and in my prayers

Even though you are not here

In my heart I hold you dear

even though I have not

seen you in over a year

Love they say is letting go

Let go I have, just dreams remain

I love you in my heart just the same

                                                                     Forget me not

I thank you for allowing me to share some thoughts and express myself in an artistic way. The painting was for a young lady and the poem a beautiful Queen I have not forgot. I have accepted and have great love in my humble and grateful heart.

I hope we can all share a smile share some love and help make our world a better place for all we share it with. 🙂 Thank you again for your time and your smiles and making our world a more positive and beautiful place.

Morning run… A poem

The still water reflecting the early morning sun

birds singing sweetly, squirrels having fun

the breeze gently blowing

a dog on a run

He sniffs then pauses

Scratches with his paws

I never could imagine what was the cause

I suppose it is his nature the natural law

I watch in wonder as he runs away

What wonders he will see, with what will he play

As he takes his run by the lake

This sunny, still, light breeze kind of day

Thank you for allowing me to share a thought or two.. A change from my usual unusual. I hope we can all share a smile and share some love making our world a better place for all we share it with.  🙂

A colorful thread… A poem

I seek not to be god nor a king

A Buddha, a Guru, nor Christ

They are who they are not me

I could not carry the heavy burden

As weak as I be, dark roots deep

At the foot of my tree

Some would question what kind of man I am

A mystic of sorts that enjoys the beauty in the ugly

Of my life lived not planned

Turned to the inner life of the vast universe

By studying ancient wisdom, the occult and divination

Not exactly endorsed by the Saints

In chapter or verse

A friend once asked how do the Universe you find

All that space in such a tiny mind

I asked how much of his did he use

Less than I third for sure he said that I know

I said so did I and I chose to grow

When that less than a third really showed

The space inside of you and me in scale

is the same space as many galaxies

empty space between held together

with the energy as are all of things created divine

as they have been and will forever

The atoms, protons, neutrons and sub atomic things

Contain the space to fill the void in between

The fabric of the cosmos and the fabric of my dreams

My dream is not a holy one

Not a dream of a father and his son

Nor of a Chosen gift from heaven

Who gave up an Empire

To understand life and what God truly desires

Nor was I given a gift in the twinkling of an eye

I was given greats lessons with every tear I cried

Conquered many demons

After being beaten many times

I am a mystic so to speak

My inner truth in the universe I seek

I am small yet so large

When I step up and let the universe take charge

I almost see where I stand in our galaxy

The tiny little particle of the divinely created

Co- creating me

Living a life of love as was meant for me

A colorful thread in the fabric of eternity

Thank you for letting me share a thought or two… I had been thinking about some things that people had asked and said to me on a few occasions.. And this is what I found.

I hope we can all share a thought or two and help make our world a better place for all we share it with… We are all connected by just being on the same planet if nothing else. Some one once said the most philosophic statement of our time was spoken by a simple man who didn’t even know the definition of philosophy..

“Why can’t we all just get along”

Thank you Mr King… Rodney king

Please share a smile and share your love be the change positive our world needs.

Living, dreams.. A poem

Often I have pondered through prayer and thought

The answers I have gotten and those I have not

The more I wondered the more it seemed

The life I was living wasn’t my dream

Many the questions I asked

Were often of things that had past

One day I read a story

Of a meeting with two holy men

Although quite wise they were certainly not friends

One was formerly educated a wealthy man

The other educated through life and his hands

Both had many people who thought they were wise

The educated one went to the other for some advice

When is the time and day I will pass

Was the question he asked

You ask me when you will die

When will you live? For you I cry

Life is for living and living happy thoughts

Being grateful for life and all that you have got

Every moment you live every breath you breathe

Is the gift of living as a human being

The gift I have is to live my dream

Love and respect my connection to everything

Think positive thoughts and know that I am

I am living life loving who I am

A spiritual being in the body of a man

I would like to say thank you for allowing me to share a thought or two. I had often heard the reference to breathing Gods breath or Gods breath coming through you… Perhaps just the gift of breathing that air is one we should embrace. Every breath we take… written about in poetry and in song in many ways throughout time as man knows it. As time passes it is amazing to me how many breaths there are being taken around our earth by so many things and beings. I like the answer of why ask such a question as when am I going to take my last breath?.. Why worry or think about dying when are you going to live? Have you been living of course yet have you?

Thank you once again for taking the time to read and share with me a smile perhaps, and helping make our world a better place for all we share it with. Share a smile and share some love and be the change positive our world needs!
