Veterans Day, My show of Respect and love

On a very special day in many ways I am grateful for the gift of life and the gift of a loving heart. The gifts of work and money have treated me well for many years and then not so well for a few years. The most beautiful part of these last four or five years is those that have shared that gift of time with their loving hearts and my heart. Their kindness and their love in ways that are treasures, that for all of us in my heavenly chest. Love and the ability to share that love is a true gift that we are all given. I had been feeling and wondering how best I could show that love for my country and show my respect and love to those that have fought and those that have died out of love for the most part. For our freedom and the gift, to be, of the people, by the people “We the People”.

Our nation like most of the people in it say 99.75% of the population is of a loving heart and would rather help ones neighbor than see one die in war. We are as they were in 1770 when Crispus Attucks was the first person killed by The British Red Coats died on a street in Boston. Regardless of how the fight started and whether some think he is a hero or not his death was the first to instill a sense of we are outraged as a society and a people. From that first casualty till the ones dying as I write this the actions taken next by those that have served created and defended this Nation. They acted for the most part out of love.

The love of a concept, the love of mans dream since societies and civilization became corrupted with power and dominated even lived by greed and the lust for even more control and more power. Kings and Emperors, Princes, Lords, Dukes and Queens as well as the less looked at Presidents of our modern day in other parts of the world the Dictators and those that rule with the hand of power and greed. The “Dream of no ruler, no more domination by a ruler we will rule our selves a Nation of the People, by the People, for the People!” That was the love and the Dream those men who fought the” War of Independence” fought for. They fought side by side for many years in the mud and snow the heat and the cold, Rich and Poor, Black and White, Native American Indian and those of many Nationalities died for the love of Each other and The “American Dream”.

We are fortunate to live in such a land yet we as a society and people have taken for granted that gift that Dream they all died for. The dream, of being free people, with no ruler, other than one of our choosing, from amongst “We the People”.  Choosing one of our own we trusted one that would choose the right for the people with love compassion, strength and honor representing us to the World as “We the People”. A Nation of Farmers, Business men, Business women, Teachers, Children, Laborers, Factory workers, Truck drivers and many of other honorable jobs and many of those that now have no jobs. The new American dream of upper Middle Class life style and Home ownership as well as Financial freedom to the lead and the real “Dream of America” fell to the bottom of our thoughts and the thoughts of those that rule us.

The Dream is being destroyed by the Dream it’s self, As those who lead, fear for their loss of power and personal gain forget about the people they rule and the Dream. We elect our politicians our politicians are from amongst us for the most part and with the best of an Agenda at heart one they feel is with love.  All the while every law takes away a piece of the American Dream every tax steals a little bit more every loophole and every break given to those wealthy enough to profit from using them another crack of the bullwhip across the backbone of our Nation. The scars, now getting so deep and so tender, the fires of a new revolution arising from the pain. Social security paid into over a lifetime of working “ENTITELMENT” I think not! It is paid for by the People, for the People, as “We the People” paid into it for a lifetime working for it. As we hear these words and watch trillions of dollars go out to other countries for aid and cush money to pay for our ability to inflict damage through the misuse of our hero’s.  Entitlement would be Serving a term in Office and getting more retirement that a hard working Citizen of thirty or forty years that even if he gets the highest amount he can get falls short of say 30,000 and you for what four years maybe even two get no less that 100,000 just guessing and to me personally it isn’t even relevant the point is look at that with conscious of the American Dream and then look that Veteran in the eye and please change our direction please fix this.

The Wall Street Protesters exacting their pointed rage against Wall Street and Corporate Greed. A worthy cause yet being carried out by some with acts of hate and violence as well as destruction. A miss use of what our right to gather and protest when we become destructive and violent our message of love gets drown out by the acts of hate. As many speak of such things as revolution I must ask why? We are in the land of the Free the Home of the Brave. When we became spies and law makers envoy’s of destruction we were and are not being represented by heart or our Dream of old.

I would like to say it is an Honor to quote Three of our Nations Greatest Hero’s and share a true leaders words and put them to the “We the People” Test!

First they are by Name and Honor the Ideal leaders of their time and ours. All of them men of our Armed Forces, Veterans, 5 Star Generals and United Sates Presidents.  Their words perhaps may inspire our hearts and our political leaders as well.

General George Washington , The first President of the United Sates;

“Here is my Creed. I believe in one God, the Creator of the Universe. That He governs it by His Providence. That He ought to be worshipped. That the most acceptable service we render to Him is in doing good to His other Children. That the soul of Man is immortal, and will be treated with Justice in another Life respecting its conduct in this. These I take to be the fundamental points in all sound Religion, and I regard them as you do in whatever Sect I meet with them. As to Jesus of Nazareth, my Opinion of whom you particularly desire, I think the System of Morals and his Religion, as he left them to us, is the best the World ever saw, or is likely to see.” – Letter to Ezra Stiles, President of Yale University, March 9, 1790

General Ulysses S Grant, The eighteenth President of the United States of America:

“There never was a time when, in my opinion, some way could not be found to prevent the drawing of the sword.”

General Dwight D. Eisenhower, The thirty fourth President of the United Sates of America;

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its labourers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children.”

And a couple of others that I feel can be taken to heart for those that succumb to the greed and money of the panders of big corporations the lobbyists that foot the bill for the popularity contest you think you won.

“A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both.”

“History does not long entrust the care of freedom to the weak or the timid.”

The thoughts shared with love by Our Greatest Warriors and Commanders wisdom for those who followed yet the message not heard by our leaders both Political and business. The trillions of dollars of Debt for a war that has absolutely no Value other than teaching us a Great Lesson one of history repeating it’s self and bringing the Dream to an end. The History of our Greatest Leaders and hero’s would have put in check the desire to force or exert freedom where it is not wanted. To force our will through the use of our Brave Armed Forces with no just cause other than revenge for a crime of Lunatics and a threat of what? The peoples of the Middle East are not responsible for the acts of those Lunatics. I don’t know that Iraq even has a missile or ever did have a missile that could even reach our Country. Certainly none that could do real damage.

I had thought that protest was the way to make my statement. I was wrong, it is far more an act of love to acknowledge my feeling of loss and desire for change, a rebirth of a “Dream” the American Dream when America stood for the Freedoms we hold dear yet take for Granted. The Dream of side by side living lives of hard work and love, the love of our Families, our Neighbors, our Nation and our place in the World. The Dream so many through Wars justified in the Name of love to end very destructive Behavior by those far less loving.

Our most destructive war was one of bitter hate and in turn love. The Civil War was one of the most honorable wars ever fought men all of them American fighting men and the skill as well as the Technology of that fighting man was the best of any on the Planet. Both sides fought with great Courage and Valor believing in their Cause. The end result however is what was important, the message that the American Dream was a truly loving Dream for “We the People” and no more in this Nation would one be allowed to dominate or control another human being the love of our fellow human beings “We the People” with the dreams of our Founding Fathers set right the evils not dealt with during the Nations rebuilding after the Revolution. The most de humanizing and destructive weapons of war THEY unleashed on themselves, their homes, their Families. The love of FREEDOM and EQUALITY two major points in the American Dream our CORE “We the People” that is what they died for.

The American Revolution and the Civil War are the creating and defending the values of that Creation, The United States of America. United we are not those Values have taken a back seat to everything our dream is. As our rulers seek to justify their existence more and more laws are written. With every law there is a loss of Freedom, Some laws protect Freedom and others limit or take it away. The more words we impose with no moral value or meaning as laws such as spying on our neighbors or invading ones privacy or ones that pretend to bring Equality. The Government has Grown so Large and so Needy as well as maybe a Little to self centered and forgotten where they are privileged to be one of “We the People” please remember the rest of us.

My desire this Veterans Day 11,11,2011 as the pen is Mightier than the sword and love is far stronger than hate is to share these final thoughts on my mind and in my Heart before I stand in solitude on top of a mountain and honor with the grace of my maker those who have died out of love for our Great Nation and love its soul in such pain. A place where many will be with me in my heart, as tears roll down my cheeks for the love of that memory, that Dream and those that choose to honor us by fighting and dying for it.

Together our Leaders can fix our biggest problems right now if they unite and do the right thing. The right thing is sometimes the hardest thing to do, find the courage as do the Brave Women and those so many Brave men that have shown and given their lives showing as Veterans of Our Nations Armed forces. It may end your Political life yet it may make our Nation stronger and be an Act of selfless love for “We the People.” We may not all like the right thing nor like doing it yet the end result will be well worth it. The right thing is to go to our core and remember our true Values. Freedom and Equality, a loving Nation, that is ruled not by fear or tyranny but by its people. Acknowledge the mistakes and learn from them make things right. Even if it hurts for a while love will prevail and our Nation will be once again perhaps for the first time truly a loving Nation of “We the People.”

I honor the fallen as a Veteran in a time of peace having never fought in War have a very grateful heart and love for all of you that have fought and died at times is foremost on my mind many days and Veterans day is the most honored day for you in my heart. I had thought that it would be appropriate to stand in protest of the loss of lives through the error in judgment shown by our Leadership. My expressed words and my silent reverent time on the mountain are the most love I a simple humble man can share on this occasion.

Thank you for allowing me to share some thoughts and feelings on this very special and Magical day in our Universe, it is as has been the Dream of many that the Nation I live in would lead by example. We are very blessed with the gift of being “We the People” George Washington our first President with love in his heart for his Creator expressed such and ruled as such. Our hearts and our love is a gift from above as is that magic it creates miracles are made of love. Be an example of love share your thoughts with our leaders. I share mine with you right here and now yet my words reach so few. If we all reach out we may make change positive happen, share a smile share your love and be the change. If you just want to share mine please do so if you can help me get this to our Leaders please help me do so. Thank you again!
